Snapchat is copy a feature from Instagram  given that Instagram had shamelessly ripped off the Story feature from Snapchat first — with the app reportedly adding the ability to tag other users in stories with a link of profile.

The new feature was first spotted by Rappaport, and appears to work as you’d expect: type out a username in the text field on your image or video caption in Stories, and viewers will be able to tap on it to bring up a new menu linking to the user info, where you’ll be able to directly add as a friend.

How to Tag Photo In Instagram

After uploading A photo. Tap on someone in the photo.

Start entering their name or username and select them from the dropdown menu. If you don't see the person you're looking for, tap Search for a person.

To add people to a photo you've already uploaded:

Go to the photo.

Tap  iphone or Android above the photo.

Tap Tag People.
